Confronting Barriers. Awakening Truth. Reclaiming Legacy.
ATC empowers communities to turn awareness into action — building equity, truth, and
legacy across families and generations.
Brutontown is a historic African American burial ground and community site with documented use dating back to 1818. For generations, this land served as a sacred resting place for Black families whose labor, faith, and resilience helped shape Greenville's early history
Beneath this soil lie mothers and fathers, elders, veterans, and loved ones — people whose lives carry lineage, memory, and legacy. Their presence is not symbolic. It is historical, physical, and documented.
In August 2025, disturbance occurred within the burial ground. Headstones were damaged, graves were impacted, and a site of cultural and ancestral significance was altered without appropriate care or protection.
The Brutontown Descendants Heritage Initiative exists to ensure this history is acknowledged, safeguarded, and restored with integrity.
We — the descendants — are united in our commitment to:
uncover and preserve the historical truth
protect the burial ground from further harm
restore dignity to those impacted,
and pursue accountability through lawful and ethical means.
This work is about preservation, responsibility, and respect — for the ancestors, for the living descendants, and for future generations.
For generations, Black households have poured billions into systems that give little back. Move the Money is ATC's call to shift how we spend, invest, and build — so our dollars strengthen our families, honor our history, and create lasting generational impact.
This isn't about sacrifice. It's about using the power we already have.
Every dollar we move becomes a tool for empowerment, accountability, and legacy.
🛒 Spend with Intention
Where we spend shapes our community.
Every dollar strengthens something — a business, a system, or a value.
For generations, Black dollars have fueled institutions that do not reinvest in us.
Spending with intention means directing our money to those who honor our lives, our history, and our future.
⚖️ Invest in Accountability
Our dollars should reflect our values.
Too often, we fund institutions that stay silent when our communities are harmed — including the desecration of Bruton Town.
By shifting where we spend, we send a clear message: we will not support silence, neglect, or disrespect.
We invest in integrity and truth.
✊🏾 Building Generational Strength
Circulating dollars builds long-term community power.
When we redirect money into our own businesses and families, we create jobs, stability, and ownership. Every intentional dollar becomes a seed — growing generational strength and protecting our legacy.
We uncover the truth, protect sacred history, and pursue justice for communities
We redirect economic power back into our communities through intentional spending.
We develop strong bodies, strong minds, and strong leaders.
National growth. Local roots. A legacy in motion.
